My grandfather, Annibale Giovanni Ferrari, came to the U.S. from Borgotaro, Italy (near Parma), in 1916 at the tender age of 17. He opened his first grocery store three years later. He died before I was born, but he was my hero when I was growing up. I heard stories about him from his old customers. His motto, La qualita non ha tempo (Quality is timeless), inspired me to continue his legacy.

Like my father and his father, I buy only the best products and ingredients for my stores. I do this because I wish to share with you the beauty and elegant simplicity of Italian food. In the same spirit, I'm delighted to be able to share my knowledge and passion for food with you via the Internet.
