Instructions:
To make frosting, put powdered sugar in a bowl; add powdered sugar, beating lightly, until you have a creamy consistency. The frosting should cling to the spoon when it's ready.Place the flour, sugar and salt in a bowl and stir to mix it. Cut the butter into small pieces and cut it into the flour mixture with a pastry blender or two knives until the mixture resembles cornmeal. Slowly stir in the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly. Stir in the anise extract.Gather the dough and knead it briefly on a floured surface until it comestogether. Roll out the dough and divide to make 2 flat disks. Chill in the refrigerator at least 1 hour. Roll into small balls and cover with frosting.Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
