Breaded and Fried Mozzarella with Roasted Pepper Sauce


Mozzarella Fritta con Salsa di Peperoni

Ingredients:

30 .3oz balls of Borelli mozzarella, drained
1 egg
2 cups breadcrumbs
1 cup a.p. flour
2 cups A.G. Ferrari Foods extra virgin olive oil
1/4 tsp sea salt
1 jar of A.G. Ferrari Foods sweet red pepper spread
1/4 cup water

Region : Lazio



Instructions:

Beat egg with salt. Dip Mozzarella in flour/egg and breadcrumbs. Dip again into egg and breadcrumbs. Reheat extra virgin olive oil in a frying pan, add cheese and fry for 1 to 2 minutes. Reheat the sauce and water in a small sauce pan.Remove cheese from the oil and transfer it to a paper towel.Serve hot with sauce.

Serves 6 to 8.
