Founded in 1913 by Giacinto Callipo, today Giacinto Callipo Conserve Alimentari is run by the 4th generation of his family. Callipo's historic roots place it as the first producer in Calabria and among the first in Italy to pack and export highly acclaimed Mediterranean tuna.
Yellow fin tuna is the most prized imported tuna for its tender yet lean fillets. Callipo takes care to fillet each fish by hand, then hand packs the highest quality meat into protective glass jars.
