Paul Ferrari named our private collection prosecco "Il Sogno di Annibale" ('Annibale's Dream') in honor of his grandafther
You can find “prosecco” being produced from Austria to Brazil, but if you want to truly taste the sparkling wine that has become an international favorite it MUST come from the district of Valdobbiadene near the town of Conegliano in the region of Veneto. Prosecco is the name of the grape that is used and the best examples use 100% prosecco grapes, like ours, personally selected by Paul Ferrari. The Charmat method of sparkling wine is used to make prosecco as the classic champagne method would mean aging the wine for several years before release, robbing the wine of its freshness. Light and gently sparkling, it is crisp and dry without being austere. It is the Venetians' favorite sipping wine -- day and night -- and has also become one of our customers' favorites.
Il Sogno di Annibale ("Annibale's dream") is a loving tribute to Paul's grandfather Annibale, the inspiration behind A.G. Ferrari Foods. It is a delightful prosecco for special occasions and everyday celebrations.
At Venice's legendary Harry's Bar
prosecco is blended with peach juice for the celebrated Bellini.
