A mouth-filling red wine from Sardinia
Cargignano is the favored every day red wine of northern Spain and southern France where it's the primary grape in Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Near the southwestern shores of the island of Sardinia, the excellent Santadi team of Piemonte-trained winemakers makes this deliciously fleshy mouth-filling red. The tannins are soft, making it almost too quaffable with a wide variety of hearty dishes.
