Every spring, generally in April, Paul Ferrari creates the custom blend for our
Rosso di Annibale, in homage to the rustic table wines crafted by his grandfather.
Our 2008 vintage is 96% Tuscan sangiovese IGT and 4% merlot IGT, made by
an acclaimed wine maker in the Chianti Montalbano region west of Florence. To
us it is the perfect expression of the Tuscan sense of balance and moderation. It's
a terrific value in a market where it is next to impossible to find excellent Tuscan sangiovese under $10.
This vintage is medium-bodied in character, with bright berry flavors and a smooth, long finish.
