From the olive oil Mecca that is Tuscany's Montalbano zone.
The "Leonardo" is made from olives picked entirely from olives hand-picked from nearby groves and thus carries the esteemed D.O.P. mark. Named in homage to the Renaissance maestro who was raised amongst its vibrant green hills, it is a balanced green oil with characteristically Tuscan notes on the finish.
This DOP olive oil is produced from a blend of olives that grow only in the Montalbano hill
region of Tuscany. This hill which resides between the cities of Florence and
Montecatini Terme, is noted as one of the premiere locations for producing
Tuscan wine and olive oil. These olives produce
a well balanced oil with low acidity and a light pepper finish.
