"Ugly but good" cookies from a small family-run pasticceria in Piemonte.

This tiny, family-run pasticceria is in Biella, a town just outside the border of Valle d’Aosta that’s famous for its fine fabrics. This is the first time Pasticceria Pezzaro has sold any of its products outside of Italy.

These cookies have an irregular shape (hence the name brutto, which means ugly) and are made with egg whites, sugar and spices. Gilded with thin pieces of hazelnut and cinnamon.
