The true, and some say the best, biscotti come from the clothing manufacturing center of Prato, just north of Florence. Since 1858 the best biscotti in Prato have been made at the biscottificio (biscotti bakery) of Antonio Mattei.

Bright yellow with fresh eggs and a golden brown crust, these irresistable cookies are rich in fresh almonds and pine nuts. They're traditionally dipped in a glass of Vin Santo dessert wine to finish off a celebratory meal. We are proud to be the exclusive importers of these inimitable mouthfuls.
