This well-balanced coffee -- the best decaf we've ever tasted -- is soaked in water to allow the caffeine to be easily extracted. The water is then filtered through activated charcoal, which absorbs the caffeine but leaves the bean's essential oils behind. The oil is used later to return flavor to the beans. Espresso ground.
