Can I send a personal note with a gift?
Yes. When you order, you will be given an opportunity to include a personal message with your gift. Please be sure to update the message tag after you've written your gift message. The message will be included with your package.

Where do you ship?
We ship nationwide. Additional charges apply to shipments sent to Hawaii, Alaska. Please call toll-free 877-878-2783 for an estimate.

How do you ship?
Your package will be shipped UPS, unless you are shipping to a P.O. Box or an address outside the continental U.S. Those packages will be shipped Priority U.S. Mail.

Can A.G. Ferrari ship wine to my state?
Due to federal and state laws, wine can only be shipped to the following states: California, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, New Mexico, Oregon, Washington, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.

When can I expect my shipment?
Most orders placed before 12pm PST will ship the same day, assuming the product is in stock. We will call you if there is a delay. Please allow five to seven business days for UPS standard delivery.

Orders containing cheese or other perishable items must be shipped Monday through Thursday using UPS Next Day Air delivery.

Can I get the recipe for something I tried in one of your neighborhood store?
At this time, we are unable to make our in-store recipes available for customers. Please browse our recipe area for chef Gianluca Guglielmi's authentic regional Italian recipes. Many of these recipes are similar to those we sell in our stores.

If you have questions about Italian dishes, email us and we'll try to help locate a recipe for you. Some cookbooks we recommend are Lidia's Italian Table, Marcella Hazan's Essentials of Classic Italian Cooking and any of Nancy Harmon Jenkins's or Fred Plotkin's regional Italian cookbooks. Italy: The Beautiful Cookbook is another terrific resource for simple, authentic Italian recipes.

Is there a difference between Italian cuisine and Italian-American cuisine?
A.G. Ferrari Foods specializes in authentic Italian regional cuisine rather than Italian-American cuisine. Although the roots are the same, Italian-American cooking has evolved into an entirely distinct cuisine using American ingredients and incorporating American tastes. Dishes like penne with vodka sauce, chicken alla Francese, chicken parmigiana, cheesecake and Italian rum cake are Italian-American inventions. Even fettuccine Alfredo, which was invented in Rome, is more likely to be found in an American restaurant than an Italian one. An excellent cookbook full of Italian-American favorites is The Italian American Cookbook by John Mariani and Galina Mariani.
