Insalata Caprese
Tomato and Mozzarella Salad

Ingredients:

2-4 oz. balls of A.G. Ferrari mozzarella balls
3 vine-ripe or heirloom tomatoes
1/4 cup A.G. Ferrari Foods extra virgin olive oil
1 sprig fresh basil
1/4 tsp sea salt
1 pinch Maricha
fresh ground black pepper

Region: Campania

Instructions:

Slice tomatoes and mozzarella, each 1/4 inch thick.Place tomato slices flat on a large plate. Top each tomato slice with a slice of mozzarella. Coarsely chop the basil and scatter over mozzarella. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and drizzle with extra-virgin olive oil.

Serve at room temperature with a bottle of crisp white wine.

Serves 4 to 6.
